paolo de faveri 1 Posted September 24, 2010 The top of Poggio Verdello, one of the many hills of Isola del Giglio, covered with a beautiful wood of maritime pine trees, and dotted with huge erratic stones. This is stitched from seven vertical frames, it's really to be seen larger ;-) Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time. Techs: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, tripod. Double exposure blending and stitching. Link to comment
tarek_wazzan 0 Posted September 24, 2010 on first look this photo looked really very ordinary to me.. but the deeper i look, the more i admire.. what a wonderful job.. (the horizon visible between the trees on the right side is tilted?).. congrats.. tarek Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 24, 2010 It's a beautiful scene, but I find that the thumbnail actually looks better than the full-size image that you stitched together. I don't see definite blacks in the shadowed foreground--just on the trunks of the trees. I'd suggest local contrast enhancement in the shadows--just a touch, to keep them consistent with your contrasty highlights. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 24, 2010 I couldn't resist--they're very small changes, forgive me . . . Link to comment
daverave 1 Posted September 26, 2010 A beautiful rendering Paolo of a fairly ordinary scene. Well done and obviously a lot of effort.Charles: Lately I've gotten the impression that there must never be any black shadows in any landscape photo ever again ;-) There must be full detail even in what would typically be the darkest shadows through every possible trick of digital manipulation.
