Storm over Great Sand Dunes...

I visited Great Sand Dunes during an antelope hunting trip, and only had

my 18-70 zoom with me....use what's available, but I'll never do that

again....

Great photo Bill, you timed the bird just right.  The blowing sand mixing in to the dark back and the storm light makes the photograph! 

You didn't shoot the bird just for fun did you?  I'm kidding.

You had the perfect lens.  The ominous skies and the varying light on the dunes make for a great photo, and then you throw in a raptor to boot.  Great shot that will bring back memories of the hunting trip -- perfect.
