fare well to summer, all will sleep soon

on the last day of summer, this seemed a fitting theme... this young

woman came to write a profile about my work and also wanted to observe

a photo shoot... I suggested she be the subject of a shoot and have

the "experience" for herself. She agreed and this is the resulting

Ophelia themed fine art portrait. Apparently some people find the

image somewhat disturbing... what say you? I think it's an

appropriate allegorical piece...

This is a very interesting portrait, but a little disturbing!

But I'm afraid that the viewer first thinks of a drown person! Sorry, but that was my first and my last impression! Cheers!

A great moody shot! Your post-processing is perfect. Sometimes it's nice to be disturbed. Even if death representations are not so popular on PN, you've got very good ratings on this one. Congrats and best regards, Alain

It may be an appropriate allegorical piece, but it can also be a little disturbing:) But what's wrong with that? Fine Art has a history of disturbing.  I think maybe others are seeing a different allegory than perhaps you are or intended.

i like it.  it's nature personified, drifting off to sleep for the winter.
