This is an aerial shot taken from a tiny sightseeing plane. I was lucky that the weather cleared enough to allow the flight but still had some cloud cover. First time I really needed motion canceling stabilizer build into the lens and it worked great. Used circular polarized filter due to bright light conditions.

This is Tongariro National Park in New Zealand, North Island, about 4 hours drive from Auckland. There are three volcanoes there. This area is where Mt. Doom shots were done in the Lord of the Rings movie.

Just outstanding I have seen other worldly shots many times but this one is clearly taken on one of Jupiters many moons.  Wonderful epic shot.
