marc_dilley1 0 Posted September 20, 2010 Thanks Tony. I was going crazy trying to capture this huge scene. It's deceiving to get a sense of it's size from this shot. What I finally settled on (depicted here) is a 3-shot vertical pan stitched together. Link to comment
marc_dilley1 0 Posted September 23, 2010 One of the stranger cloud formations I have seen, changing very rapidly over Mt. Maude in the North Cascades. I had planned on bivvying on the summit but very cold, windy conditions forced me to stay at Upper Ice lake, where I witnessed this 45 minute display of fast moving clouds. Link to comment
vikingman 0 Posted September 23, 2010 Excellent shot of an amazing spectacle Marc. You did very well to capture it and the result is a very fine picture. I have never seen mares tails like that before, there must have been a very sudden change in the winds high up - what happened next weatherwise? Erik Link to comment
cosminalba 0 Posted September 23, 2010 WOW. It's weird cloud formation indeed. Great shot. Link to comment
marc_dilley1 0 Posted September 23, 2010 Erik: The best was finished: these clouds blew over extremely rapidly, giving way to high cirrus at dusk. It was very windy and cold all night but by morning had blown itself out. Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted September 25, 2010 Marc, A great image, with beautiful clarity and color. THe stillness of the water is a great contrast to everything going on around it. Link to comment
dbasinger 0 Posted September 26, 2010 Very good stitching job. The small trees help with perspective. This is absolutely beautiful. Link to comment
