Hema (not her real name) agreed to wear her native dress and jewelery. When she came for the session Sun was very bright and strong shadows. I elected to take pictures outdoors under the canopy of trees with direct sun. I shot with both Cannon and Nikon. She kindly permitted me to post her pictures. I will be posting selections from this session.

Canon EOS !D Mark II, Cann 85mm 1.2 , 1/3200 and Exposure bias -1.6 Love to your C&C. Regards, ifti.

Yes Alain, I shot the @1.2 wide open. Actually I will post some more of this series all @1.2  as I wanted very shallow DOF.  Will like your feed back.

This is excellent!  I think you did the right thing by shooting with a wide aperture.  Her garments and basket on head are both so busy that a busy background would have competed with that.  Furthermore, the green-ish light almost looks like a halo effect around her head, and the off-center placement of her in the frame is also just perfect.  Great job!

Dear Iftikhar, there is no question that the figure been lit nicely and it would have been much better having this figure lit from the other side with his/her face into the camera, other wise what would be the difference my fiend between her and he.

I also find the background very disturbing with its source of light while her/his hands luck shapness also.

It is a great idea my friend but it did not work for me, thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Elegant and tasteful with a rich quality that seems almost regal. The harsh light has created great contrasts and you have used them really well in your composition. The right arm seems to be just out of sharp focus due to the shallow dof and although it doesn't detract from the image as a whole, my personal preference would have been to see the wonderful jewellrey on the right arm as clearly as that on the left.

My compliments!

Kind Regards

Alf
