garydad 0 Posted September 19, 2010 Kim, I like this. This is my favorite thing you've done in a while. Both versions of these girls are nice but this one has a seductive quality. Where did you get the background? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 19, 2010 I made the background - it's literally roses. I got a bouqet for my anniversary in June and I always take pictures when I get flowers. I had a whole folder full of flower images, so first played around with the roses. I thought it needed more, so I added the girls. I had shot their photo a few months back. Link to comment
garydad 0 Posted September 20, 2010 Great work Kim. Thanks for answering my question. It's always a pleasure to "see" you in P.N. Keep up the good work. p.s. I should probably mention that I didn't mean to use the adjective "seductive" in an offensive manner. When I first saw this photo it reminded me of a Peter O'Neill painting. He has a few paintings of Spanish dancers that use the same red tones; his paintings of the dancers have a very seductive quality and that is what came to mind. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 20, 2010 Gary, I agree with you that the darker, red tones are definitely more seductive. I probably could have left more of their skin in the composition to further enhance that concept, too. I really love putting two or three images together to see what comes out of it. I'm hardly ever disappointed. Link to comment
