dionysmoser 0 Posted September 16, 2010 The experience with the bears in Finnland is each time incredible exiting. It was already autumn in Finnland and the bears are quit big. Nikon D3s with 70-200mm f/2,8 1/100s Tank you for qour critiques. Dionys Link to comment
vbirke 0 Posted September 16, 2010 Excellently captured (the small trees behind the bear form a kind of tunnel guiding the viewer from the foreground to the background) and edited as well. Furthermore, great colors and DOF. May be I had cut a bit on the left. Anyway, great work. 6. BR / Volker Link to comment

gail_okeefe 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Great natural composition. The light and focus on the bear are very good. The DOF and shades of color fill the background. Thank you for sharing. Gail Link to comment
monika_epsefass 0 Posted September 17, 2010 It's only natural that the bears are bigger in autumn after having had a nice summer, isn't it? ;-)Nice shot! And a nice light, too. Link to comment
marianna_safronova 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Superb photo of the bear. I love how the bear turns are kind of looks this way.Grand animal. Love the colors too.Best regards,Marianna Link to comment
paulpluskwik 0 Posted September 17, 2010 excellent wildlife photo of the bear, Great color, lighting and the colors in the ground plants add a lot also. The only thing I do not personally like it the heavy Black strip on the top and bottom, more of the photo would be better of this great shot. take care, great work. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted September 17, 2010 I have commented this one or a very similar to this one before! The same comment goes to this one!PDE Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2010 This is a great shot, you either are a brave photographer or have a lot of optical "horsepower". :-)Sharpness, depth of field and exposure are outstanding. One suggestion though, the bear is pretty much in the center of the frame and is looking to (the photographer's) right. I might suggest that the crop be changed to move the bear more to the left of the image and a little tighter to bring more attention to the bear. This would place the bear closer to a vertical third, and prevent it's gaze to the right from causing the viewer's eyes to be drawn out of the frame.Just a suggestion! Link to comment
ridder 0 Posted September 17, 2010 Great work. Very natural. Great lightning! Nothing wrong with the crop... Link to comment
steveshinn 0 Posted September 18, 2010 A great shot, Scott did exactly what I was going to suggest. The cropped shot is a real winner. It must have been fun! Link to comment
anne_s3 0 Posted September 18, 2010 A fabulous photo with remarkable color, light and detail. The bear looks soft and friendly in such a context, but I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted to get any closer to him. Great capture! I like the crop as you have done it but can see the value of a tighter crop for a different emphasis. Regards, Link to comment
dionysmoser 0 Posted September 18, 2010 Thank you all for your critiques! In deed, with the cropp it wins a los.But I still prefere the full size. It is also the size I need to usefor my multivisonshows. That is the reason why all my photoshave that size....Kind regardsDionys Link to comment
ja_rek 0 Posted September 23, 2010 Stunning capture! I particualily love the fact that it's not just a photo of a bear, but a bear in context, yet perfectly isolated from the background. Congrats! Link to comment
