Picture taken at night in a shop window with Canon EOS 450D at ISO400hand held! So don't you please critique in regard of technicalquality! As I didn't look for it! The composition is that matters tome!

Thank you for your attention

In the first moment, I thought there was too much information in it. It grows on you, though, as the number of colours is reduced, and the eyes are guided through the image. I don't think it's abstract, though. It communicates a strong notion of bored and ignored, with the faces looking away. Quite strong!

Monika's comments are identical with my thoughts.  And I like the unusual composition with the central mannequin towering over and separating the group while they all seem indifferent to her.  As stated above, this grows on you if you take the time.

Pierre,

as longtime friends, I can hush-hush you this (nobody's watching - I'm clear- watch around you. ok !..)

Picture taken at night in a shop window with Canon EOS 450D at ISO400 hand held ?!?!?!?!...

Gosh ! (and sigh...)

Never do this again. Use your PS by night...

Luckily the composition is rich...

:)

BTW: Ray Ban Rules and I occasionally smoke Van Neele

BytheBTW: Kidding, of course... (hate to explain myself...)

The composition is what really 'makes' this image.  The strong central figure and the emotionally isolated background characters form a visually striking image.  The panorama format seems perfect for this shot.

I too am quite impressed by the composition.  It's quite interesting how the faces of the mannequins are visible, but the face of the subject in the foreground is hidden.  The exposure being darker on the left side is quite dramatic, in my opinion.  (By the way, is the subject in the foreground a person, or is she another mannequin??!!??)

Great stuff, my friend.

Michael, it's also a mannequin in the shop window, they were all arranged that way, I just took a picture which is very weird from my point of view, I mean to expose here non manipulated photo! Ha!

Looks good to me, especially for being hand held in low light. Good composition and nice scene - almost looks real.

Hi Pierre. I like this picture very much because it's a very interesting and provocative image where the "chromatic chaos" and the "formal chaos" of the composition show clearly the "insensatezza" of a consumeristic world.

Hello, my friend, Pierre. I'm sorry to be so long in stopping by. I like this image because it seems so "life-like". I remember seeing real people posing as mannequins and they do look very much like these "folks". But I trust these are what they seem. In any event, this is fun to study. The composition is fascinating. Each figure is prominent to me. I have a sense that the whole scene is more important than the clothes they are selling.

Miguel
