Hello Gail

Long time since last log in and it is realy nice to see your photos again.

This little bug has a delicat background and nice framed. I like the choice of the grung, too.

If there would be something to argue about then I would have whised the bug a tick sharper. But it does not get around the fact that this photo is close to superb as it is.

Warm Regards

Bela Dick

PS: Hey hey hey - congrats to your golden critic.

Hi Gail, I enjoyed your new photo post. Very creative and artistic processing as well as a very nice photo . Always a pleasure to see your work. You inspired me to try my hand at some creative processing with 2 photos of Hydrangea flowers I posted on my site in Newest images, so if you have time any feedback or suggestions welcome on my first try at something new. I would love to have seen what you could do with the images. Take care Gail. once again great work.

Excellent image, Gail...very creative, as usual...brilliant composition of the visitor against the host flower...very colorful visitor indeed...diagonal composition gives the speed in this image...it's presentation through frames is very beautiful...my best

The other day, a (rather lengthy) array of thoughts on a Shauna's photo on the Ferris wheel)  could not be saved   by the system and this left me exhausted.  I will try to  return back and  re-write  as faithfully as possible what was meant to be there.  On this "summertime", the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw it , was the contract  the post cards editors would be willing to offer  and bring the independent mind of the  lady author under their firm's umbrella. Exaggerating? Perhaps, but I do not have any gains to hope for , so why shouldn't write it?  This would be a best seller  in many post card categories-and by this I do not underrate its technical and artistic merits. The way the  ladybug  enters the scene is something that captivates.  The blurred three -fourths of the frame, act as attention attraction for the glorious  appearance  which takes place in the lower right part. Stop here? OK, but I'm hooked!

(Infinite thanks for the kind thoughts you left under some photos of mine. Unfortunately  my restricted time does not permit a proper reciprocity , but I deeply know this is not your goal. I prefer to stay long on an image that won the impressions game than being scattered in many for some mere instants.)

Very best of regards, Chris

So nice to hear  from you again, and I'll be looking forward to visiting your Portfolio.  It never ceases to amaze me how many talented Photographers are added to the site almost daily.  I never seem to catch up to introducing myself to so many.  Thankyou for your encouraging words , I always have a bit of a delema when I take shots of little critters.  Especially when thre is a lot of black. Plus I do not use a tripod so that could account for a bit of my 'unsharpness'.

For this shot, which was taken by the pool in the Adult Subdivision we lived in, I was hanging over a railing and had my head and camera tilted.  I'm surprised I even got the shot.  And I've tried editing it a number of times. But I have learned a bit over the last year.   But I will keep persevering.  I think a lot of my downfalls are the 'in camera' work, and learning my camera while to others may seem very easy, for me it is a struggle. But I don't mind, I do my best at the time and for the conditions.  It really is great to talk to you again.  I hope your Photo endeavours over the summer have brought you much enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment.  I know how much you love this thing we call 'photography' .  You have a style of your own Bela, and it is 'unique', and I learn from just observing your photos.  Thankyou for keeping in touch, most sincerely, Gail

Your visits have become a welcome sight, and it is always great to hear your thoughts on my images. You are a very valued member of the community as far as I can see...so watching your work has been very rewarding.  Amazing what we can learn, and the friendships we make.  They are long distance but we all have one thing in common, and to be able to share our feelings openly with each other over our love of the 'shutter' is truly amazing when you think this means of communication was not here when so many started out 'with camera in hand'.  My sincere thanks, Gail
