This is the sort of panorama I like to capture with my Hassy xpan.

You mastered the exposure of this image and thats just typical for you, your composition is a remarkable element which give superb credit to this work, the two men on the right and left, one busy washing the bavment and the other on his casual walk, gives life and great atmosphere, all of the elements work nicely together in one outstanding potograph.

Thank you my friend for sharing it, I did learn a lot out of it and wishing you all of the best.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this candid street shot.  Taken with a Canon P&S, (appropriate for the supplied background, don't you think?)  the quality at web size would be close to the quality of any much larger format camera.  Only when the image is slowly enlarged would the quality shortcomings of the P&S become apparent.  Since I rarely print to anything larger than 12" x 18" larger formats are mostly overkill.  You, on the other hand, can print much larger but still easily post at web sizes where content and composition are the major components.  Light weight and ease of operation vs a more disciplined & measured work flow with optimum quality; the choice depends mainly on the desired end result.  I do use 35mm, 6x6,  and P&S,  the most fun being had with the later.  Best, LM.

Excellent shot. I like the positioning of the shadow line of the awning just at the neck level of the person washing. Excellent details and contrasts.

Thanks for taking the time & effort.  Yah, the shadow line in a good place as background to his profile:  luck is good!  :-)  Best, LM.

Honi soit qui mal y pense... Perfect moment, love this ! You are quite right with your remarks, anything larger than a Leica is probably overkill :-)

I was waiting for my wife when I spotted this action a few yards down the street so, thinking I had a photo worthy scene in front of me,  I walked down to where I would be opposite & took the shot.  A novice in street shooting I nervously wondered, if I should be spotted, would this guy turn the hose on me.  So I only took one shot & moved on in haste.  :-)  Best, LM.
