Defunct water tank in Salome, AZ, which collapsed not long after this

shot was taken (I think you can see why.)

 

Salome is in the desert not far from Quartzsite. If you're in the area, you

should know that the second syllable in "Salome" is pronounced to rhyme

with "home". Using the biblical, three-syllable pronunciation (sal-oh-may)

is one way the locals can tell you're not from around there. That, and the

lack of chronic sunburn...

looking at those beam angles, it's amazing it was standing at this point! Doesn't look like much water would end up in that tank. Great to capture something just in time before it's gone forever.

Very nice composition and lighting. Doesn't look like the little shed is going to last much longer either!

I too am surprised that it was still standing, or at least long enough for you to work it from the looks and angle of those support beams.

Well composed lovely B&W! And fine frames! Some people ruin their pictures with fancy frames! Once I did it myself, ha! Cheers William!
