deb1 0 Posted September 13, 2010 I think that would have made me a marathon runner. I did have a much too close encounter with a female alligator a couple of years ago at this same State Park... She had a nest near a pathway that the Park Rangers were unaware of until I wandered down that path and she charged me. Let me tell you this, they are faster than you expect them to be and their HISS will make you run like you've never run before. So, in the world of alligator photography, I do like to be the one in control :)deb Link to comment

steve walker 0 Posted September 13, 2010 This is a cool shot Deb, were you at Brazos Bend, or Sheldon Lake State Park. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 2 Posted September 13, 2010 I like the subtlety and abstract nature of this image, Deb. The ripples would have made an interesting photograph by themselves but the 'gator below adds a terrific element to the composition. It is clear enough yet, because of the water's surface, still mysterious. Well done! Link to comment
deb1 0 Posted September 14, 2010 Very good guesses! It was Sheldon Lake State Park, first pond!deb Link to comment
deb1 0 Posted September 14, 2010 Thanks so much for all your thoughts on this image. I just loved the puff of air coming from his nostrils. You have to really look, but you can see it effects the ripples.deb Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted September 23, 2010 I like this! The echoing rings of water, the hidden details beneath the water, Great shot Deb! Cheers, Doug. (wow on chasing) Link to comment

deb1 0 Posted September 23, 2010 Thank you Mr. Gentry! I too loved the rings and the subtle puff of air seen by his nostrils.I guess if I can't find any dragonflies to chase, an alligator is the next best thing :)deb Link to comment
