Canon A540, hand held, 'A' (aperture) priority, 1\250 @ f8, 7.9mm (48mm FF equiv) Low camera angle for more dramatic image but mainly to eliminate cluttered background. Best, LM.

Thanks for your most welcome visit and observations.  This B-25 carries the white stripe identifying markings of the D Day invasion.  It's always a challenge at these air shows to get interesting shots of the aging aircraft without including the background junk and masses of people.  For me, this one is successful for those reasons.  Best, LM.

it leads one to think out the box. I, generally, enjoy the challenge. It forces you to look in on details you might have otherwise missed. Of course when, for instance, you use the wing to block a building, and someone comes and stares at the sky for 5minutes making an otherwise clean composition...well...not clean, that sort of gets to me... but otherwise you end up getting pretty close to the plane, and looking at it in different ways, all by using the plane to block whatever it is that isnt the plane...

I guess the inconsiderate boob who stands in front of you for 5 min could be considered part of the challenge but to be fair people aren't looking behind them, they're looking up at the plane too.  (unless, of course they did see you and stood there anyway.  Then the 'boob' designation should stick)  I thought we photographers were supposed to embrace patience as well as artistic license.   Kind of hard though when aging knees protest at being bent for anything longer than about 5 seconds. :-(   Thanks for popping by again.  The follow up is appreciated.  Best, LM.
