Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 12, 2010 I think what I most admire about your pictures is your ability to evoke mood while maintaining precise technical boundaries. Here you have created an feeling of light-drenched summer reverie. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted September 12, 2010 The only, but serious shortcoming of this picture is the overexposed chair! Otherwise - great composition with fine pastel colors and lovely shapes!PDE Link to comment
amysn 0 Posted September 12, 2010 Beautiful. I love the light. Funny the two comments from Jack and Pierre - Jack seems to think the light conveys summer; Pierre thinks it overexposed. I think it is just right (Jack's camp here). The overexposure is what makes the light and entire image so soft. Lovely. (I also like the composition and the large white frame.) Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted September 12, 2010 Jack, Pierre, Amy, I very much appreciate your comments! Thank you for stopping by.The overexposure is intentional here to present the scene and detail differently. In other words my purpose was to be a bit original and artistic:). Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted September 12, 2010 Independent of the good interpretation - you dare to be different - and that's good! The final pp result definitely enhances the image.Compliments! Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted September 14, 2010 It is, in fact, the overexposure that gives the leaf center stage and makes this such an interesting image. Well done! ~~~~L Link to comment

vbirke 0 Posted September 17, 2010 An innovative shot - seemingly trivial objects captured and composed in a different, distinct, creative and aesthetic manner. Very good photography. BR / Volker Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 3 Posted September 23, 2010 I really like the light in this one; the image seems to glow and the fallen leaves suggest reminiscence of earlier, happy times and conversations spent here at this table. Very well done; I like the mood very much. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
mario2 0 Posted September 27, 2010 I think that the detail is in itself is beautiful.Your vision is always looking for the element wich is lost for others...I like the frame and the angle of the viewpoint, Only a little comment about technical details I would like to see more detail in the left chair, less burn of course. My subjective sight: See a bit more of DOF arround the first chair leg (floor area) and to increase a bit the contrast ( the most probably difficult ,because the histogram is to much to the right side...I'm imagine a nice Black & White edition, but this story is other... m-pinto 0 Posted October 15, 2011 Perhaps not as so subtle, but the "philosophy" of the title is exactly the same. We see it all up but by chance there is also the leaf!I like the bright light, almost unreal of the chairs. I like the way the picture is composed ... and if you called it "terrace in the fall" would lose a large part of the elegance! :-))Regards,M. Link to comment
