I've been on Niragongo when I was a kid and I was very calm seeing the lava lake showing red now and then out of the dark...

Got a thrill being once again, thanks to you, on a crater.

PS: I was 7, Niragongo was calm, I've made it all the way up and down although I had a porter "in my command" (usual for kids and plenty of applicants...). I felt sorry for him and thus I walked like a man alongside him but not on his shoulders. I think we become friends...
