You must be channeling the movie "Field of Dreams".  I can almost see shoeless joe climbing down from the treehouse.  I like the way you use the foreground tree as a way to frame the rest of the shot.  Just enough bokeh for a pleasant effect  in the bg and just enough of a blossum at the top of the frame to bring you in.  It's all very nice.

This is an interesting shot with beautiful color tones and wonderful light-effect. The unusual and creative dof has made this shot attractive. Your creative play with dof is successful in this artistic composition. Best regards.

You have a achieved a very moody and atmospheric photograph with great use of sharp and blurred elements. There is as much if not more meaningful message in the suggestion of reality as there is in the reality of the image itself.

Very nice work Liz.

Kind Regards

Alf

Ah, Tom. I am pretty good at post processing, so, I'll admit this is where the strengths in this image come in. Still, I knew it was a good shot, because of the light and tones. Many thanks for stopping by.

Hi Liz,

I like the colors, the subject matter, and the lighting.

Obviously lots of people like the shot the way you posted it, so you don't need to do anything differently, but...  IMHO it's truncated on the right side. I copied this and made a crude approximation of a compostion that to me looks better. Hope you find it useful.

Thank you all for your comments.

Chuck, I do like what you did. I'm sticking with my choice though (minus the barb in the corner) because I think the treehouse seems sort of sinister, to contrast the serenity of the scene. Many thanks for taking the time to work on it.

Liz, I was going to suggest you remove that stick on the bottom right, but I see you already are going to do that. I like your crop. DOF (real or effects) is perfect.  This has a really nice flow to it and is very well balanced.  Tranquil and interesting.
