dabar 0 Posted September 8, 2010 An exceptionally brilliant bit of creativity! The Master still has "IT"!!But... I have a question... is the alien the one in the image, or the creator of the image??? HA!BOTH??? Link to comment
sranga 2,136 Posted September 8, 2010 if the alien's natural environment is so pleasing, what started the process of alienation? Thought provoking indeed! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 286 Posted September 8, 2010 Dave I clicked on yes when I saw your question, ha! I really thought for a moment that it was for that, ha!Ranga, it's a good question too, IE would be a good question if this picture has to do something with alienation as a psycho-sociological phenomena! This one is simply an ET in his natural environment which is the cosmos!PDE Link to comment
andrea allison 0 Posted September 8, 2010 So creative ! Love the background orbs , light and color. Title says it all. Well done... Link to comment
harlequin 0 Posted September 8, 2010 They are coming to get us. Nice and interesting creation. I like the bubble effects and lighting in the background. The "being" is both cute and disturbing. I think doing something to his eyes that makes them feel more alive or real instead of just two dark holes would help. Your usual artist creation. Well done. - Charles Link to comment
gsaphoto 2 Posted September 8, 2010 I know this small creature. Now it have find new background. Excellent bubbles, nice work, but lost wooden body and camera :-( Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 286 Posted September 9, 2010 Amy and Jim, how did I do what? The background was a pinched a lot one and I added lens flare all around and then put my PSD file of the alien and he is an adjusted for that purpose grasshopper or cricket, I don't know what it was!It was only a lot of efforts to select him from the background using polygonal lasso tool! Easier part of the job was cutting his wings and making a buttock out of what left! As you see no big secret!PDE Link to comment
johnborg 0 Posted September 10, 2010 Very imaginative and good use of effects in background work. highly original and artistic artwork! A true artist. Thanks for your comments on my pics Pierre. Best wishes . . . . . John Link to comment
amysn 0 Posted September 10, 2010 Pierre - thank you for the explanation. It does sound like a lot of work, but the results paid off. You must be pretty good with that lasso tool (and be patient!) to be able to select around each little hair on each leg! Great image. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted September 10, 2010 Pierre, there are numerous persons who use photoshop, but you are unique in creativity. Link to comment
sid747 0 Posted September 11, 2010 The Photoshop work is one thing, but the creativity is what makes this photo, as well as your others. I use the "Quick Selection Tool" quite often to isolate parts of a photo - very quick for the first time around, then I use the lasso tools if needed for fine tuning. Link to comment
hamidfarzandian 0 Posted September 11, 2010 Nice creative artwork! I like the composition of main subject, selection of color mood and simple elements. The alien just staring at me, but not angry-looking and seems be friend! Bravo Pierre!Hamid. Link to comment
