I agree with Ramond.  If you did not include her feet in the original frame, then I'd suggest cropping at mid thighs.  Vey beautiful image!

I know leaving a foot out is a big no no. But cropping all the way up mid thigh? Don't you so love the way the knee and other foot curl around the leg?

I like the pose and the expression a lot, I like the knee-foot curl around leg, beautiful model, nice light. About the composition I do not know, perhaps include the foot. This is just my personal opinion.

Hi Karen,

Yes I do, but to me, it's just not working this way.  I'm not usually part of the crop police, but this is a time for either a full image or a thigh crop IMHO.

I am not a fan of cut off limbs and the fact her foot is cut off should bother me. However, for some reason it doesn't. Perhaps the framing and composition compensate for it.

I cropped the upper arm tight to balance the lack of foot and felt that it was fine. I guess I felt there was enough weight at the bottom. It really doesn't bother me and have enjoyed the discussions. Thank-you all.

The pose and the light are beautiful, although for my taste the image needs a bit more of space in both sides, up and at the bottom, the model needs to breathe a bit more... Of course, is my aesthetic vision,my feelings and at the end is our way to read photography, the images can be under photographic rules or not ,this is not important for me because as a photographer said: We are artists not craftsman, obviously for others these topics explained by me about your image can be more different, thinking the model don´t need more space surrounding . By the way nice image. Best regards
