cphilpott 0 Posted September 8, 2010 I like the effect of depth and the little tree in top left really makes the shot for me. Concerns to me, pushing shadow/highlight far enough to get halos around the cliff tops. There is a solution to this issue in one of the Scott Kelby books that I read about once. The warmth and detail in the shadow side of the canyon is very well done. Regards. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 8, 2010 A really interesting and challenging POV George. This Gorge is such a magnificent and almost overwhelming sight, that to capture it all, must have been really well thought out. Considering how bright it was, and the many shadows you would have to deal with throughout the Gorge I think you did pretty good. Well done George! sincerely , Gail Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2010 You relatively coped well here George with a very difficult exposure, this must be the narrowest part of the gorge, always the most difficult to shoot, very nice work ,giving the feeling of this amazing place, very good choice as well to post it only for critique, you get more honest comments, regards,Harry Link to comment
sumon_mukherjee 0 Posted September 11, 2010 A beautiful capture with very good color tonality. Shadow details in the foreground are fantastic. Regarding the halos around the cliff tops Craig is absolutely right. Those halos are reducing the beauty of the image. I like the image for its light-and-shadow management. Best regards.
