Very good wide angle and perspective. Warm, nice colors and lights. Very good shapes and contours of rocks and original contrasts of lines and contours to be seen. The viewer is captured / attracted by them. All image elements are arranged / positioned harmonically. The highlight (in the truest sense) is the sun sending their rays of light towards the viewer over this stunning landscape (could be on Mars as well, right?). I like landscapes where nature is reduced to a few elements only. Abundance can be found elsewhere. Here, one can manage to think clear and may be ahead as well. ;-) Great. BR / Volker

Wonderful lighting, but I must tell you Gorka what I have read in some of the handbooks for some digital camera, IE it is not advisable to point the camera to the sun, it may hurt the sensor, so they say! Cheers!

You've captured some gorgeous light here Gorka, comp works really well with some great details in the shadow areas aswell.

great composition with a strong for ground and super focal point, the icing on the cake would have been to preserve the detail around the sun I suppose the only why to do that would have been something like HDR or very expensive reverse ND grad.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Richard, maybe an HDR (I think that by HDR you mean tone mapping) would have preserved this highlights, but I don't use this technique because of the unnatural results it gives (this is a personal opinion).  Concerning the filters, I don't really think that the price of the ND Grad has big effects on the final results apart from some colorcast that the cheapest ones use to give. Actually this image is a digital blending of 3 different exposures, I suppose I could have used more images to increase the dynamic range, but at expenses to detract some naturalness to the scene. Thanks for your sincere critique!

Gorka, I meant specialist spot and reverse NDgrads that can be used to make direct sunrise images possible with out losing detail, I tend to agree on the tone mapping although I tend to use it as I do not have the skill or patience to blend in PS.

Rich.
