This is a photo of a Pitchure Plant growing out of the moss in bog along

the shore of a pond in woods of Northern Minnesota in early September.

Very cool find!  What a beautiful unique plant.  I really love the way it blends in with the colors of the moss and surrounding plants.  Good DOF, lighting and details.  Kudos   Gail

Hey Paul, sorry to be so long in getting back to you on this shot. The Pichure plant is really cool, but I even find the MOSS really interesting.  I've never discovered RED MOSS before.  Even when I worked in flower shops we broughtin exotic mosses for mainly Oriental arrangements, but I have never seen 'red'.  Truly a great accent for the flower, which is a great macro.

I've got a few creative thoughts about the two shots...I'll let you know what I think.

A truly great find Paul, thanks so much for letting me know about this shot. I would have waundered over and probably found it later on anyways, but the 'heads up' is great.  This has actually reminded me of a shot I got last spring but it was not nearly as colorful as this one!  Well done Paul, and thank you for your thoughts on my 'Fuscia'...talk soon, gail
