Colorado Homestead Snow Storm (View Larger)

This was taken years ago on slide film and scanned about 4 years ago. I always liked the image mainly because it reminded me of the old west and the fact that it was taken during a snow storm. Also, I see the struggle to survive with very little, which was the case for so many families back then and true even today. I could never quite get it to look like I wanted to, until I started playing with the Pixel Bender filter. Now, a lot of people don't like the painterly effect but to me, it added the feel that I was looking for. You will have to view it larger to really see the effect.
