Outstanding portrait work , the candle adds to the fine composition here, wishing you all of the best.

Hansen,

She is a very pretty girl. You have focused well on her eyes. The exposure and her make-up are excellent. Her skin tone looks very good. The background is nicely neutral and she is well separated from it. The catch light is good. Your composition and her expression is very good.

There are a couple of things I will suggest that may make this better.

Be careful of split profiles. You do not want the tip of her nose to come close to touching the far cheek line. You want to make sure the far eye is either completely showing or not showing at all. You do not want to have the bridge of her nose cut into her far eye.

Her hands look a little unnatural. Perhaps, she is praying, but she looks like she might be "dressed" for a coven ritual? As a general rule, avoid having the back of the hand towards the camera. The edge (side) of the hand towards the camera is thinning, feminine and graceful.

You might want to try this as a vertical. There really is a lot of space in front of and behind her.

The burned-in strip along the bottom is very annoying and draws attention to itself. The overly dark areas around the edges can be explained by the candle lighting the center. It works very well. The bottom does not.

Your name is not part of the photograph. It is quite proper to place your name on a mat surrounding the photograph.

Nice shot,

Mark
