mike_sea 0 Posted January 30, 2005 Sorry about the ratings. While I can see what you were doing, this just doesn't work for my eye. It comes across on my screen as being very washed out and and the angle of the ridge etc, while maybe natural, again takes away from the shot. The midday sun doesn't help you either with those greens just not quite there as your eye obviously saw the scene... I have to put this one in the "one that got away" basket as there are many good elements but you didn;t capture quite what I would be after. Link to comment
sambal 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Mike, thanks very much for our critique. This photograph is a scan of a slide I took 38 years ago. That might explain the washed out aspect. On the other hand, in the dry season the air may have been full of dust. For me, this picture is a memory of the ol' days when there was still a lot of snow on Kilimanjaro. Cheers, Sam.
