A 2 minute exposure taken at Blackie Spit tonight. I have been trying

to simplify my images. I am always happy to get feedback, so please

leave a comment, good or bad.

Hi Paul,

The image is about calmness and I like your composition in general. I have two issues - firstly, I find the subject matter nearer to be of more interest and the distant coastline is something of a distraction. Secondly, I think the still objects could have been made a little sharper.

Lastly, this is a matter of personal preference, the dark parts feel just a tad underexposed to my eyes.

The idea is lovely though.

Hi, Paul.

I understand Starvy comment, but I don't agree, as I think that blurry efect fits perfectly to this shot (IMO, of course!)

7/7 a.

Best regards,

Ramon.

Thanks everyone, for your input.  I appreciate all of your comments.  Starvy, I also agree with what you have pointed out, although I tend to be fearful of over-sharpening images.  Therre is not much I could do about the background elements, but I see what you mean.  Cheers everyone!

Hi Paul,

Well appreciate your efforts however my thought is that the post out in the water takes away from the overall image.

More personal opinions:  I don't have a problem with the sharpness, and I think the distant horizon is fine.  I really like the clouds.  I find the post with the sign to be distracting and not very aesthetically pleasing.  All IMO.

Thanks Doug and Stephen for the comments.  I see what you mean about the post in the water, and have re-posted a new perspective of the same subject.  Here is a small version of it.  What do you think of this one?

Thanks Stephen.  I also hope others will check the new version out as it is stronger for all the reasons you and others suggested.  Cheers.
