rarmstrong 0 Posted August 31, 2010 This image requires a story. I was kayaking with my wife and daughter, camera on and set up for shooting, when we went by this white pine. My wife motioned for me to slow and turn around. She pointed to this eagle that was preening inside of the tree. The wind was blowing my kayak. I maneuvered around and took about 10 shots, handheld. I wished that I had a 500 mm f4, VRII lens on instead of my 80-400 at f8. But, that is for another day. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 1, 2010 Dick... Splendid shot, majestic bird and a good story. Since your wife is involved as your spotter, just buy her the 500mm for her birthday :-)... Mike Link to comment

ifti 1 Posted September 3, 2010 This a very good shot of the eagle with bright sharp eye and bill. Very good feather details. Bird looks good ans stand out against its busy BG. Well done. Regards, ifti. Link to comment
