michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 30, 2010 PDE:This photograph is full of symbolism that the previous one lacked (in my opinion). The queen is separated from her subjects literally by distance and through the use of different colors. All of the shells at the base of the throne are facing the same way, toward the throne. Figuratively, the queen and the subjects are separated by a political system. That system compels obedience on the part of the subjects. Sad to say, this is a mark of any political system. Outstanding, my friend...........michael Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted August 30, 2010 There are few photographers that I recognise purely by looking at at thumbnail image, however one look at this and I knew it was a "Pierre Dumas" The placement of thought provoking artifacts are I would say your hallmark, and this image is no exception. The addition of the moody sky relates an air of elevation and loftiness to the image.I like it!RegardsAlf Link to comment

fstaples 0 Posted September 4, 2010 What can I say? Great work! And I do mean work - I mess around with CS4 so I have some idea of how time consuming a photo like this can be. Great choice of colors and placement. Keep 'em coming! Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted September 4, 2010 Funny and good PD, strong contrast between the sky and the warm colors of the shells and table make it work.Holger Link to comment
rollmjr 0 Posted September 4, 2010 Aesthetically, the sky, as presented, is too much a dis-connect for my mind's eye. I very much do like the idea of it, though. Thanks for the image. Regards, MR Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted September 6, 2010 Life is a game, whether we want it to be or not. Levels of separation occur on all levels, among all peer groups, but there is always someone 'on the top'....making sure all us little 'ants' (shells) are hard workers and doing what is expected of us. Anytime 'they' GIVE.....they 'take away'....MORE....we lose comrades along the way, and just as in your composition, THE WAY TO THE TOP is TRANSPARENT.....but do we want to 'COMPROMISE OUR INTEGRITY' just to please the ones who 'PUSH THE BUTTONS'.They would have us think that we are always traversing 'FAMILIAR GROUND' but it as it has through the centuries, remains unstable and fraught with danger...it just looks 'pretty'. The 'Gatekeeper' is always there.....ADMITTANCE is relegated to the few who 'can PAY THE PRICE'...........I think too many have PAID too much already, these poor souls walk the streets of every City....and the numbers are growing. Great comp WIZ'.......YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN! SINCERELY, Gail Link to comment
