This is a well done portrait. The lighting in the background is very nice. I do wish there was a tad more light on your subject to help make him stand out better.

You would have better left and right compositional balance if your subject was placed farther to his right. He would balance the rather "heavy" shapes of the tree with its branches and the bench in the upper left corner.

It would be nice to have a little more room on the right so that the rock wasn't crowded by the right side of the frame.

This image is so powerful. That bench looks like an altar to me, awaiting an offering.

First and for all I like your recent posted 'dark series' integrally - this one included. Here you achieved to create a very special mood and that's what it's all about. Has to be seen enlarged. Compliments - great series. Not sure if you need the frame but that's a question of personal taste I guess.

The murkiness of your processing creates a mood that would probably be entirely different if it remained in color.  The somnolent sky adds and sustains the feel.
