deb1 0 Posted August 28, 2010 It sure brings back memories of always seeing a caboose at the end of a train. I never would have thought they would become just a memory.Nice composition Lannie. I like the rust and faded lettering VERY much.deb Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 29, 2010 Thanks as always, Deb.When I was a kid growing up in the Carolina piedmont, Southern Railway was a huge road with many thousands of cars and engines. Now that it has been consolidated with Norfolk Western to form Norfolk Southern (actually about twenty-five years ago), old Southern cars are getting rarer and rarer--especially cabooses. I can't remember the last time I saw one of their green and white engines.--Lannie Link to comment

Tom Wiggins Photography 0 Posted September 1, 2010 Lannie: Another good old railroad car. I guess I would have liked to see the bay window a little more to the left, so the composition follows the rule of thirds. Tom Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 3, 2010 You're right, Tom--although not necessarily for the rule of thirds.--Lannie Link to comment
Tom Wiggins Photography 0 Posted September 4, 2010 Lannie:You're right, "rules are to be bent not broken" How about the rule of 1/5 that would do it in this case. Tom Link to comment
