These 'Two Happy Lovers' were found at Kyiv, Ukraine's Book Bazaar

(Outdoor Book Market) near one major outskirts shopping district. Your

ratings and critiques are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly

or very critically, please submit a helpful and constructive comment;

please share your photographic knowledge to help improve my

photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

This photo was posted in part because of the composition with its symmetry, and just as much or more because of (a) the affection shown by the two lovers and (b) the affection, especially as reflected on the superb expression on the man's face.

John...  An encapsulated moment of life, made timeless with the b/w treatment.  I especially love the expressions.... Mike

Hi Mike,

This is the first photo of a number.

I tried to get 'up close' to take 'better' but really they were much worse, since this derives strength also from composition as well as the priceless expressions,.

I'm glad you liked them; I certainly did.

I'm experimenting with a little more contrast in my black and white, as digital is pretty hard to mimic film b&w, and much film b&w looks (or can look) more like this, but with raw and modern Adobe Raw Converter and some special filters, I'm getting close.

Let me know others, how you like this compared to other work, please.

Thanks Mike (and others too).

Excellent comment.

As in the case of such comments, I invite readers to read and re-read it.

One of the best.

Thanks, Philip, for such a humorous, and well-written view.

It's a remarkable capture, but alas, few viewers -- perhaps it just shows too well in thumbnail so there is no necessity to 'click' on it.

Ah well . . . .

I like it so much.
