Illouette Creek Trail - Yosemite

This is another Pixel Bender filter effect available for CS5. This one

is called Oil Paint and it gives the image a very real oil painting

look. It is a nice effect to have in your Photoshop "kit" when your

looking for something different.

I really like this Leo and also the other shot you posted with this effect. Although I do like the effect and I think it really works here I still think the strong composition and colouring are the major factors in making the image work so well.

Thank you David & Lester. I am enjoying working with this new filter, the oil paint effect, is quite magical. It will be a great tool in my "kit" but will not replace the "straight" print. The advances in Photoshop are truly amazing and I can't wait to see what's next. Nice to hear from both of you.
