Iam not shure about the composition. My question; Are the clouds to

symmetric? Ratings and comments are as always appreciated. Thanks in

advance!!

Clouds are fine Atle' ...... Very fine as a matter of fact .......... I like this one better than a similar one you posted recently ................. For about $39.95 you can purchase the Nikon chainsaw adapter (or borrow Carl's) and remove those 2 towers on the other side of the lake .................... (-;

Like Mike - I must now go and replace my eyeballs as well ............ (-8

Very nice, almost like a motion blur but natural. Personally I think I would have gone for a stronger grad to try to extract a bit more detail from the rocks in the foreground, but it is a delicate balance. The building on the right is a bit distracting (more than the towers I think) but you were right to get the shot whilst the light was there.

For me it's absolutely right. Actually one of the finer landscapes I've seen as of late. Here the symmetry is broken by the rocks on the right foreground and the resulting effect is that the eyes are pulled to the dead center like if you had placed a magnet there

Forget the Nikon version ............. higher quality products are made in Scandanavia - Husquavarna -- Stihl -- Volvo, etc. ................ (-;

IMO the clouds and reflection are too symmetrical.

My eye goes immediately to the center of the photo and stays there. An excellent composition has a visual flow from area to area. The eye should start at one point in the photo and be lead by both the tonalities and forms to a climactic final resting point. Along the way, the detail and color harmonies should enhance the overall feeling and message of the image. Your best landscapes have these qualities. This one does not. I hope this helps.
