Stanislav, well this is most certainly not your run of the mill flower image. welcome back Stanislav! your image here is one that makes one have to think. most people would approach this shot with the idea of concentrating on the flower, but not Stanislav. have always liked how you see the whole scene, and than produce results that are both unique and beautiful.

Dror, is off on Saturday to visit his folks for a couple of weeks. neither Dror nor myself have submitted a flower image in what seems ages. have spent the last year winding down garden art images, feels sorta funny in one way but good in another. is really nice to see you back and i look forward to viewing more of your work.

Stay well

Ricardo, Saad- many thanks for your kind words and ratings!

Roger- thanks! Soetimes, a pause is just the right thing to do... Still, I frequently do have a look at your and Drors portfolio to get some inspiration.

Warm regards, Stanislav

stanislav,

i thought i left a comment on this image as well but it must be floating somewhere in space now.

anyway, i thought it would have been better to increase the luminosity of the flower, pop it a "wee bit", relative to the background. perhaps a little of dodging and burning.

take care, from this side of the atlantic.

Svetlana- thanks!

Dror - I see what you mean. In some sense, I intended the overall mood to be rather dark, including the flower. But perhaps adding 'a wee bit' of contrast/color would have made things better. Anyway, thaks for your comment. It made me think. :-)

Is 'this side' of the Atlantic Europe or US?

Warm regards, Stanislav
