I especially like the way Mother Nature's pattern of the seeds in the center of the Sunflower draw your attention to it. The DOF and Composition are very attractive, as well as good lighting.

Would cloning out the tree in the background make it better? I find it distracts just a bit!

it's so nice and it's interesting to me, because I was in a sunflower field today, and I took hundreds of photos from this beautiful flower

You have a very special talent, Pierre.  I have seen so many images of sunflowers before, yet this one over-powered me right away.  I read the other comments to see if anyone else saw what I saw.  That is, to me this image appears to be three dimensional.  In any case, it has superb colors and detail.

Well composed and I must say....I don't think there is ever 'just a sunflower'....these beauties add so much SUNSHINE  to our lives, and their seeds are tastey as well.  Thankyou for sharing this bit of 'cheer'. A wonderful specimen of one of my FAV FLOWERS....congrats, beautiful!
