Excellent landscape PJ. Your composition pulls me right into the scene!

This is a beautiful scene that has been composed and captured superbly. I love that diagonal line of purple and the spots of sunlight. The lake in the distance just caps it for me.

I have noticed that this image sits in the HDR folder and yet I get a sense that this was a single image post-process. Am I wrong?

PS It does remind me of some of Mark's landscapes.

Tony, thanks for your very kind critique. The image is in fact a true HDR, made up of a combination of three photos taken at a one stop interval from each other. They were then combined and tone-mapped using Photomatix. Although HDR is especially good in high contrast scenes, I find it can often give a satisfying image on overall brighter days as well.
