Beautiful scenery and magical light, well captured. The water blur is also quite well done. I like the details and textures in the foreground, and of course the DOF. Excellent work - michel
Strange light indeed! And a magical moment that you have captured exceedingly well with the long exposure, good depth of field and artful composition. Beautiful details and a landscape image that really stands out!
All the best
that certainly is interesting lighting/colours. Very nice. Cheers, Micheal
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Alf, I think it is a combination of both lens distortion and the terrain. I could only fix it so much without losing most of the image to cropping.
To Aldemar A, doubt you'll read this, and I understand everyone has personal tastes, but after viewing your gallery, I'm not sure you're exactly qualified to rate landscapes. Hahahah, but whatever, good luck with your people shots. Thanks for taking the time to view my photo.
I have seen and photographed this type of light Nicolaus! It is a rare and special occurrence. To have it while looking upon a scene like this is truly rare. The bonus is that it is usually easy to expose for because it is a front lighted situation (although I still would execute a blend). That voluminous orange cloud acts like a giant reflector, transforming everything into an red-orange glow. Congrats!!
Beautiful colours and perspective, a very nice work.
Wonderful foreground detail and beautifully illuminated scene. I am curious though if the tree's to the right are leaning at an angle due to distortion caused by the upward tilt of the lens, or is it just a feature of the terrain? A very aesthetically pleasing image nonetheless!
Gorgeous shot Nicolaus! Fabulous light, and exquisite detail in this superbly composed image.
All the best,
Pretty awesome.great detail and color is sweet.
Emmanuel Enyinwa : That may very well be the best comment I have ever received. That music is epic! Thank you!
Juice Box Some of the strangest lighting I've ever witnessed. I remember looking at my wife about 30 feet further up the canyon and seeing her through an orange haze..the rain combined with the clouds and light created a weird scene. Thanks for looking.
