Bob,

She is a beautiful girl. The position of her head within the frame is quite good. The background is nicely out of focus and she is well separated from it. She has catch lights, but I would like them a little brighter to give her eyes more life.

I don't really care for the dark rectangular area on the far left side in the background. It seems a little out of place.

I would not position the camera so low that it looks up her nose. This isn't your best angle to shoot her.

Her expression looks a little strange. She appears to be in some sort of trance.

It appears your main light is coming from below her. It lights the underside or her chin and nose. It also lights just above her eyes. The color of this light is a bit yellow. It almost looks like she has a candle under her face. This would be fine if you showed the candle. As a general rule you do not want the main light coming from below eye level. It is normal to have light coming from above her eyes. Light coming from below eye level is called grotesque lighting. It has been (and still is) used in video and still photography to light vampires, werewolves and bad witches. Unless you are trying to make her look a little spooky or possessed I would stay away from grotesque lighting.

Nice shot,

Mark

Bob, composition and light accentuates the beauty of the portrait. Her photogenic face and absorbed look make the image.

A most interesting portrait of a beautiful lady.  I really like the POV, framing and lighting. The ONLY adjustment I might make would be to slightly brighten her eyes.  She really looks focused and "on a mission".  Nicely done.

With this camera angle most photographers will fail to deliver. For you however, everything works. It is an outstanding piece of work.
