White Dress

Thought I'd take a picture of the white dress I bought earlier this

morning. Couldn't find a model so I used a tombstone.

I'm not sure how to describe my reaction - lots of random thoughts provoked by this image (a good thing), about religion, Halloween, life and death, life's transitions; it goes on. Maybe it has to do with where you chose to stop with manipulation.

If I was to imitate this image, and I might, I'd make two shots (the other sans dress) and layer the two to make a translucent dress just for the fun of it, but it'd probably take away much of the 'meaning' you have here.

Michael, your layering idea is a good one. I hadn't thought of it, probably because I was not interested in making any kind of references to ghosts.  I wanted the picture to be more about the living, or being alive, and not so much about the dead.
