many thanks for your comment. In fact, what was pure purpose at the time being constructed has matured to an architecture over time. The light inside was luck as it conveys some "life" inside and additional diagonal lines. The wheels at the bottom are cut in half wheels from the nearby shaft tower nowadays just set up there for display.

many thanks for your comment. You're observation is right - it went out of service already in the middle of the 1980s. Nowadays it's Unesco World Heritage - more see e.g. on wikipedia.

On this shot coal mine looks like just cleaned, no dust, no miners...

But, work itself interesting with right composition, dimmed light.

Monument of industrial age This is part of an old coal mine - same location as "Shaft Tower" (see my "Steel" folder). Fading sunset light and "glow" from inside caught my eye here. Colorized to underline "industrial" atmosphere.
