carsten_ranke 0 Posted August 19, 2010 A clean and clever composition, well seen. Often I miss a thing that conveys a sense of scale, but here this lacking is kind of nice extra, IMO. Adds interest. Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted August 20, 2010 Agree to Carsten. This is abstract enough to work better without any "scale". Tonal values of the cone are just perfect - a great contrast to dark sky. I also like the perspective and how stairs very slightly "fan" out. This can be disturbing, but again it works very well here (I guess due to long enough focal length, compressing distances between stairs).Great photo. Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted August 21, 2010 Carsten, MY, Fernando, Jörg, Wolfgang, Linda, thank you for your comments! It was a fun and interesting study on how to take and present the cone. I spent quite a long time around the object. Link to comment

gunnar1664882369 1 Posted August 24, 2010 Dear El, Bob K., Tatjana, Jef, Sreehari, Bob K., thank you very much for your comments. The light condition was very good for this subject - day light, very sunny, no clouds, the conditions that are usually very bad for photography:). Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted August 24, 2010 An interesting and very appealing shot. The b/w tones are most excellently displayed....Regards Link to comment

lizweisiger 0 Posted September 7, 2010 Fascinating image, Gunnar. I like the contrasts, and the rich BW tones. It's fun not to know exactly what I'm looking at! Link to comment
drorbaldinger 0 Posted October 10, 2010 i guess i have not visited your work lately at my own peril. what a great architectural image, and as a black and white, it occupied a special place in my book. very well done. Link to comment
cyanatic 0 Posted August 3, 2011 I had to scroll down to be sure I had not previously commented on this. I have admired it before. I like the spareness, the geometric designs, large and small, both complementing and contrasting each other. Link to comment
