Speed Bump

I am not sure if your title is forcing me to 'see' the speed bump but see it I do. It does look a little out of context making the shot interesting.

How do you do it?!! I don't know how to take good night photos? This is very, very good.

David, the architecture section of this forum is generally dedicated to soaring steel and glass and great stone edifices that have stood for centuries. I hoped with this photo to highlight a  structure, that probably won't last 25 years, the strip mall. They are as transient as movie sets and in some ways this looks like a movie set. Rather than stone or steel these facsades are probably made of coated styrofoam.

I was going to use the title movie set, then strip mall, but felt it was the speed bump that made the photo work by directing the eye to the lead line of the curb and on to the lights.

My point is that these strip malls are like architectural speed bumps, they are an annoyance, maybe even a blight, but they do serve a purpose and if you stop to take a look there is certainly a beauty. I'm sure the architects here feel that way.

this looks very nice.  At first it looks like a shot of an old European city.  Upon closer examination one can see that "the houses" are very simplified imitations.  Cheers, Micheal
