pnital 36 Posted August 16, 2010 Here is the bride, before the ceremony, a bit tense (and it is understandable) but with all her beauty, including her special dress. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted August 17, 2010 The dress is very beautiful, slightly old fashioned around the neck and wrists. I like the portrayal of pre-wedding anxiety, as she clutches the sofa with that hand. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 231 Posted August 17, 2010 Only I would remark on not using fill in flash! I know it would spoil the quality of the lighting, but not if set on -1 or -2 flash light!PDE Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 17, 2010 Donna, yes the dress was very beautiful, fitted the special event. A bit tense is very understandable, in that special day in her life. Pierre, thanks , but I don't use flash in any of my photos ,including (not) in the dance / theater shows. Link to comment
gsaphoto 0 Posted August 17, 2010 Quite interesting work. I like soft and worm illumination. Well done. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted August 18, 2010 Again an interesting photo from the wedding you were invited to that you informed about earlier on including the religious context.Again, also, you show a picture that somehow makes the viewer reflect on what she is thinking before admitting her. She might be very shy. Or, she is thinking about what she is about to engage herself into. Is she regretting? She might start crying! The day of marriage is supposed to be the "happiest day of my life" - at least Hollywood and Bollywood tells us all. And here we have a bride that looks anything but happy - in all her beauty. Well shot Pnina. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 18, 2010 Grigoriy, thanks for stopping by and commenting, especially about the light.Anders, thanks for an interesting point of view, and observation. I'm not familiar with the bride ,but she looked very well educated and well brought up. I think she was passing a very charged day, with all the preparations, all the family and guests, the professional photographers invited by her family, and myself (and other family and guest with cameras) with permission to photo the event ( and upload some of them here). I have some photos of her in different moods, joy and also tense like this one. She was holding very nicely with all the activity around her.We, that passed that day when we were married, know the feelings expressed in this photo.Hollywood is Hollywood, we live in reality....;-))Thanks again Anders. amalsircar 2 Posted August 18, 2010 Pnina, she looks like a queen, wodering what is in store for us. I presume this is a traditional marrialge, where marriage is considered as a solemn occasion. Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted August 18, 2010 A wonderful series! In this one I like the backlighting that seems to give a soft glow to the entire scene. What a beautiful bride! Compliments! ~~~~~L Link to comment

JohnWebster 2 Posted November 17, 2011 I would like to upload my preference for your image. I found your original a bit dark and yellow for my taste. Ultimately, it is your image and your choice how you process it---I offer my opinion as just another possibility. Good luck. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 18, 2011 Thanks for your visit and showing me your point of preference. I agree that it is another possibility, even though on my monitor it looks too bright( a bit "anemic") but it can be the monitor differences that I see a lot in the internet. As I'm open to see what viewers think of my versions of my work in General ,thanks again. Happy retirement ! Link to comment
