Thank you Amir.

Perhaps someone would be kind enough to tell me things that would have made the shot more deserving of higher ratings.  Is the lighting wrong, should I have used higher ISO to push the f stop to 8 or 11, is it simply that the bird is kind of boring, that is, not eating something, does the shot lack dynamic balance, bird not cute enough, or are there too many such close shots for this one to stand out?  Is it poorly exposed, not sharp enough, or is post processing sharpening excessive, stuff like that would be helpful to hear some opinions on too.

Thank you Jose.

As to my musings, particularly "too many such close shots for this one to stand out" seems more likely to me after a conversation today with two women who also had similar shots of this very tolerant bird.  Still, pretty neat moment for me.

One issue may be that there are so many images [on this site and elsewhere] of birds of prey taken in zoos, rehab centers etc. Often the photographers do not disclose this information. There is a HUGE difference between photographing a bird in captivity and one in the wild. I enjoyed your photos of this immature Coop.

Roger.
