Fog

Robert, I can barely remember the last time I saw fog like this.

I love the composition in this shot. Fog always seems to create a mysterious or daunting mood and it certainly does that here but it's further accentuated by the road fading away into the unknown and the sign being unreadable. Furthermore, the color of the trees being so unsaturated because of the mist adds another gloomy element and contrasts nicely with the saturated and colorful green grass to the middle left. This is a very dream-like scene, almost like something out of a horror movie. A great title for this shot might be "the point of no return" because this strikes me as the moment where any person would be internally debating whether or not to proceed into the unknown.
