Lovely wedding shot Bill.  I sure hope it was a happy day for all the girls and that this lovely bride experiences all the 'best' that married life CAN  be....warm regards, Gail

I like the composition and lighting of the wedding party, but the post work is a bit to much. The "out of focus" effect is not natural and quite distracting. Maybe ease back on the effect, also there seems to be a bit of a "halo" around the models. Most noticeable is the picture frames at center of image and the background window on right side of image near models elbow. Plus the lamp on the left appears to be next to the party yet it is completely out of focus, adding some blur to the lamp would be OK but since it is in the plane of focus it shouldn't be so blurred. I know you can't go back and re-shoot, so for future reference using a larger aperture would give you the "Blurred" effect you are looking for.

This is just my opinion.

A beautiful image. A small nit is the 'halo'. Advice passed on to me was when you get close to the subject reduce the opacity of the brush to 15 or 20 percent -presuming you worked with a duplicate layer that was blurred.

Sharp eyes Tony. I used a masking layer and did reduce the brush size but maybe not enough opacity . I'll have to revisit the image, I thought I had got rid of any halo, but if you study this post it does show. Awkward shot, so much clutter in the room from wedding presents and it was raining outside. Oh well, I think I can make it useable.

Thanks again, just shows how being on PN can really help.

Lovely light, posing and expressions, but I feel the background blur is way too much. It looks very unnatural. Maybe you can just burn the edges of the background a little and leave the focus as it was when you made the photo.
