jimvanson 0 Posted November 24, 2002 This is a photo of a Pow Wow dancer friend of mine. The original is in black and white. This one has been toned in PS, a process that Im having problems with. Ill PS a photo to the tone I want. When I look at it on another monitor Its totally wrong. For example my photo href="http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1129721&size=lg" > Pow Wow Dancer 2001 is much too red brown on one monitor Ive seen it on and too yellow on a second monitor. Has anyone got a suggestion on how to resolve this? Id appreciate comments on the tone of this shot. Tkxjim Link to comment
squirrelman 0 Posted November 24, 2002 Emotive, powerful portrait. It looks OK, albeit probably a bit too red caste on my monitor. Very hard to adjust colors and contrast across different platforms (MACs, PCs, etc.) I would error on the side of using less red and add a touch of yellow as well. Cropping may also be a bit narrow, IMHO. Link to comment
don_hall1 0 Posted November 27, 2002 Tints change from one monitor to the next. Synching your color with another computer's is tough. How well does it synch with your printer? The subject is a dramatic figure, but I don't find the lighting accentuating that potential. Link to comment
