deb1 0 Posted August 6, 2010 When I allow myself moments to reflect on what could have been, sometimes sadness takes over and I have to surrender to it.Thanks for commenting as you did. Women understand about quiet tears!deb Link to comment

deb1 0 Posted August 6, 2010 Thanks for your encouraging words. The good news is, when my sunshine turns to rain, it's always a brief shower and the sun comes out again quickly :)deb Link to comment

gsphotoguy 3 Posted August 7, 2010 An amazing self-portrait, Deb. It is very good technically, not easy to do by yourself, but also carries much emotion. I'm pleased you are exploring yourself in this new way.As much as we want to look back in sadness at times we must also look forward to what might be. I'm sure there is much good in both. deb1 0 Posted August 19, 2010 Thank you so much for your thoughts and comments! I think this image was more diffucult to share than even the self portraits in "The Art Of Being A Woman..." I actually feel more exposed in this image that any I have ever shared. I am a very happy person and I do feel like sunshine resides in my spirit, so when I have moments of sadness and the sunshine goes away, I'm a bit lost! When I saw this image within the series of images I captured during my "Art Of Being A Woman..." shoot, I didn't recognize myself! I found that to be very interesting, that I so relate to the happy "sunshine" side of myself that the sadder "rainy" side might as well been a stranger. I think we must all have a mental image of what we look like and how we reflect ourselves to others and this didn't match the "me" I know so well. deb Link to comment
