i like the composition and the crop is perfect. but while the dark portions are sharp, so much so that we see the books through one window, the brick walls are too bright. so the brick patterns are subdued. compliments -koushik

Your visits are always welcome and this one has saved this post from the trash bin. (it's been up a while with no comments)  Thanks for your thoughts.  The walls indeed are bright, no doubt due mainly to the many layers of white paint on them.  Your suggestion that perhaps they are TOO bright prompts me to try to tone them down a bit, hopefully without reducing the contrast noticeably.   We'll see.  Best, LM.
