often... but sometimes...

When I view the thumbnail Dave, it seemed to be smiling at me....Great colors and your vivid imagination has done it again!  Wonderful 3D feel, once again, you never cease to amaze me.  Hope your week has started our well, is the weather treating you Okay in 'your' part of the Jungle? As for my week, and the weather here in the jungle...  The week has held some rather 'grating' culture-clash moments within my household and a bit of heavy rain.  We mostly are spared the effects of the typhoons which almost always pass far to the north of us here on northern Mindanao.  I am also on the western side of the island and separated from the east by fairly high mountains that block most of the severe weather and winds. 

However... Those same mountains, through orographic lifting, cause the storm systems from the east to rise, cool and dump their moisture on our side.  This occasionally results in severe flooding along local rivers.

Such is life, here in the Philippines.

P.S.  We are on the edge of the inter-tropical convergence zone where storms tend to move from east to west.
